February is certainly a fun-filled month in our household, but also a very busy one. This year we had two birthdays, one snow day, 2 Pedagogical days, Valentine’s Day, Teacher Appreciation Day, a food drive for a local food bank, Winter Carnival at school, Crazy Hair Day, a visit from the tooth fairy and four days of Ayyám-i-Há! We certainly had a fun-filled week. On top of a pedagogical day, there was a snow day (no school), a visit to the kids hairdresser, and a birthday all in the same week. Our eldest turned 11. How time flies!!! Here are some photos from the week:
This week our birthday girl turned 9. As her birthday fell on a school day this year, the festivities started after school; first she was gifted a homework-free evening. Next, we painted some ceramics in the basement. After dinner and “chocolate drip rainbow” cake, she opened her gifts that friends, cousins, aunts and Grandma had dropped off. It was unfortunate that we couldn’t have any guests over, but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. Here are a few photos from the birthday:
