Just when we put away their snow jackets, we had to get them out again...last week saw some snow and a few days of sub zero weather. As it happened two of the three girls were home from school with common colds. What to do? Why play dress-up of course. And start a fire!
We were out for a bike ride when one of the girls said “Look, look, what is that?” And so it was that they got their first up close with a Canada Goose:
A work colleague of mine had mentioned a nature park not far from our house, and the girls and I decided to head over there on Monday. Whilst Papa was hard at work, we spent their day off school discovering the park. There was an ecological farm with many animals and a lovely river. We never found the beach, but enjoyed walking on one of the warmest days of April. I promised them that we would return and find the beach during the summer...
After several months of waiting in a near empty room, our # 2 finally got her new ‘big girl” room. Not surprisingly, our youngest was immediately jealous. When I mentioned that she too get her new room once she got rid of several hundred stuffies, she declined.
