With the new lockdown in effect due to soaring COVID numbers, we had little choice than to embrace winter:
Climbing trees
Out for a promenade
skiing
Outdoor ringette
Building a snowman while her sisters played ringette
And just like that, school was out two days early due to exponentially rising COVID cases. No more homework, no more school lunches and no more early mornings….For the time being. Here are some of the things that the girls have been doing to pass the time:
Doing arts and crafts
Making graham cracker candy houses
Being a clown
Wearing oversized Sherpa hoodies
Going on adventures
Playing in a park in Snow Suits
And so it was that it snowed in the fall….A perfect time to don winter gear, and visit some animals that enjoy being out in the snow:
Albeit through a window, the girls recently got to meet their new cousin, born mid-October. They fought to see who would get to the window first…Because they simply have to fight over everything…
Halloween might be over for the kids, but not for the squirrels…They didn’t even seem to care that the pumpkins had several layers of paint on them:
Here are a few photos of the girls prepping for their first Halloween in the new house:
And here they are at school with some friends:
Morning have been so much less stressful, as we now live walking distance from the girls school. Leaving 5 minutes before the bell rings allows for some well deserved sleeping in…Here they are; the youngest skipping to school:
The girls also tried their very first candy apples, although they never actually got to the apple:
