Finally, our youngest receive a bedroom update: Instead of 200 stuffies scattered everywhere, they were arranged in neat baskets. With the help of a few new pieces of furniture, her room looks tidy and cute. While we are still missing some new bedside lights, she absolutely loved her « new » room. Here is the end result (no stuffed animals were destroyed in the process):
A few years ago, the girls watched a film called Dolphin’s Tale, and learned about a real bottle nose dolphin who had been rescued from a crab trap. She ended up losing her tail and requiring a prosthesis. This dolphin lived for 16 years at a marine aquarium in Clearwater, dying only a few months ago. While the girls didn’t get to meet Winter the dolphin, we spent an entire day at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and met some other rescued animals. While some of the animals were rehabbing, others were permanent residents and could not be retuned to the wild for a variety of reasons (e.g. hearing loss or loss of echolocation). At the very last minute, we decided to take a family trip down south. With the kids finally fully vaccinated, and the adults boosted, we got away for one week of relaxation and sunshine. Here are a few photos:
